Where are the APPSC Group 2 previous papers, and how do I use them?
This page links 20 APPSC Group 2 files from 2008 to 2025: 15 question papers, 4 separate keys, and the 2024 Screening final key. The two 2025 Mains files are APPSC's Series A final keys, the full paper with the answers marked. Ten of the 15 papers come with a key. Below is a way to use them: an older paper first, old questions after each chapter, and the 2025 papers timed near the end.

Where can I download the Group 2 previous papers?
The APPSC Group 2 papers are in the two tables below, and each link opens a PDF. The first table is the current pattern: the 2025 Mains and the 2024 Screening keys. The second holds the older papers from 2008 to 2019. Where a key is printed inside the paper file, the table says so.

Which paper should I use at each stage of preparation?
An APPSC Group 2 past paper does a different job at each stage. Before you start, an older paper shows where you stand. While you study, old questions check each chapter you finish. In the last weeks, the two 2025 Mains papers, timed and marked with the negative mark, show whether you are ready.

The order matters because a paper works as a first look only once. After you have seen its questions, a second attempt measures memory. The two 2025 papers are the one pair set to today's Mains, so keep them unseen until a timed score can tell you something. The older papers are many, and they can be used up early.
Score yourself with the official key, and use the final or revised key where one exists. Then take each wrong answer to the syllabus map and find its chapter. That chapter goes to the top of next week's revision. A wrong answer with no reason written beside it teaches very little.

What did the February 2025 Mains ask the most?
The APPSC Group 2 Mains of 23 February 2025 had two papers of 150 marks, with 75 marks for each of four subjects. In each subject the four chapters asked most carried 26 to 44 of the marks we placed. The other chapters carried 167 of the 296 placed marks, more than half.

A plan built on the most-asked chapters alone would cover less than half of this paper. Use the table to choose which chapter to open first, then read the rest of the syllabus. It is one sitting of one paper, so it shows where the marks fell once, and it is no forecast for 2026.
The chapter placements are our reading of each question, and another reader could place a few of them differently. A question that touches two chapters is counted in both, and some marks were not placed on any chapter, so a subject totals 72 to 76 here instead of 75, and the four total 296. What did the February 2024 Screening ask the most?
The APPSC Group 2 Screening of 25 February 2024 had five parts of 30 marks each, 150 in all. In each part the three topics asked most carried 11 to 16 of the 30 marks. Screening marks do not count for rank; they decide who goes on to the Mains.

The two stages asked from different ground. The 2024 Screening had no polity or economy section, and the 2025 Mains had no geography, society or mental ability section. That is the shape of one cycle. Still, it tells you which papers to practise for which stage. The 2017 and 2019 Screening papers in the library are the older practice for this stage.

Are the papers from before 2023 still worth my time?
Yes, the older APPSC Group 2 papers are worth your time, one chapter at a time. The papers from 2008 to 2019 were set for an older Mains. The 2019 Mains, for example, had three papers for 450 marks, with general studies and mental ability as Paper 1. Today that ground sits in the Screening, and the Mains is two papers for 300 marks.
So an old paper is a bank of chapter questions, and a poor copy of today's exam. Sit an old history paper after you finish a history chapter, and an old general studies paper after a geography or mental ability chapter. Do not read its total score as a sign of how you would do in the current Mains.

What changed on this page
Updated 23 September 2026. An earlier version of this page said APPSC published only an initial key for the 2024 Screening, and that the booklet was not here. APPSC published a final key on 10 April 2024. It is the full 150-question booklet with the answers marked, and it is now linked in the table above. Questions the commission dropped are marked "Question Deleted" in it, so score yourself from that file. We have also corrected the file counts at the top of this page.
Questions people ask
Which Group 2 paper should I practise first?
Start with the 2019 Mains Paper 2 (history and polity) and Paper 3 (economy), untimed, to see where you stand. Their subjects are still in today's Mains. Keep the two February 2025 Mains papers for timed sittings in the last weeks.
Are pre-2023 papers useful?
Yes, for chapter practice. The 2023 syllabus change moved general studies and mental ability out of the Mains and into the Screening. So older Mains papers test some chapters that now sit in the Screening. Use them to practise topics, not to guess the paper structure.
Where is the 2024 Screening question paper and final key?
In the first table above. APPSC's final key of 10 April 2024 is the full question booklet with the answers marked, and the initial key is linked beside it.
What does the Group 2 Mains test now?
Under notification 11/2023, the Mains has two papers of 150 marks each. Paper 1 covers AP history and the Indian Constitution, and Paper 2 covers economy and science and technology, with 75 marks for each subject.
When will the 2026 Group 2 papers be here?
After the exam is held. G.O.Ms.No.81 of 22 August 2026 schedules the Group 2 notification for 15 October 2026, and no exam date is known yet.
